Here we have a 2 for 1 bonanza of a wedding for you and you can bet that means a double dose of insta-worthy inspo. Housed in the former Plumtree railway station goods shed, this beautiful Victorian building has been lovingly restored into a stunning and unique venue. Tucked away within its own grounds with wonderful rural views, The Carriage Hall provides an idyllic setting for intimate wedding receptions up to grand ceremonies and celebrations. And it was here, that Kirsty and Himesh chose to host their super stylish, fusion wedding day.
The couple took “making an entrance” to the extreme with both arriving at The Carriage Hall in style; Kirsty rocked up in a super-cool vintage Morris Ital which had very special importance, Kirsty says “As a little girl, I had made so many special memories in my grandad's car so to be able to arrive at the venue listening to his Elvis cassette tapes was so magical”. Not to be outdone, Himesh made his way surrounded by friends and family, dhol players and smoke bombs for an epic ceremonial entrance.
Wanting to pay homage to both their roots, the couple opted for both a traditional civil ceremony and a Hindu ceremony. “Experiencing both ceremonies in one day literally brought two families together; it was a long day but full of happiness and memories we will never forget”. The vaulted ceiling and open space of the venue made the perfect space to house the beautiful Mandap ceremony canopy, one of our favourite details from the day.
For this lucky pair, with two weddings in one day, comes two outfits and, quite frankly, we can’t pick which looks we love best (don’t make us!) but Kirsty’s floral garlands were a massive hit all round, “We have never seen something so beautiful and Kirsty even wore them the following day”.
